JEALOUS, MUCH?

Written and narrated by Chanel Tsang

Jealousy is a hard emotion to deal with or even admit to being. It brings out negative feelings that make us feel bad about ourselves. Kaala is feeling jealous of Chuff in today’s story and has to deal with those feelings.

Find out what she does and how you can get over the feeling of jealousy too. Check out the links below for more resources on jealousy including sibling jealousy.

A relaxation story for children ages 5–13 years old.

Questions

  1. Do you have a brother or sister? Have you ever felt jealous of them? Do you think they ever feel jealous of you? Have you talked to your parents/caregiver about this?
  2. Mila has an older sister who does really well in school, has a lot of friends, won awards for chess and soccer, and is also really kind. Mila sometimes feels jealous of her sister. If you were Mila’s friend, what could you tell her to help her feel better and less jealous?
  3. Name three things about yourself that you like or feel proud of.
